Michael Martini is an interdisciplinary theatre artist who uses techniques of theatre to create performances for various contexts, e.g. the theatre, the gallery, the cabaret. He has presented many individual and collaborative interdisciplinary projects in Montreal, notably Ça a l’air synthétique bonjour hi, which won the Grolsch Hybridity Award at the 2018 OFFTA Festival and the 2019 Bursary in New Artistic Practices from CAM. He has also presented performances at RIPA, Le Mile-End s’articule, and Xpace Cultural Centre (Toronto), as well as dramatic writing at Studio Porte Bleue and Black Theatre Workshop. His performances typically shift between the banal and poetic.
